There is much debate concerning the environment today. Global warming, carbon footprints, environmental
impact, and sustainably are the phrases being tossed around. "Green" is no longer a fabric color, it is a philosophy. Amidst all of the confusion of what is "Green" and what is not, Impact Office Interiors has adopted a simple policy.
..."We pledge to be good stewards of the earth by offering green certified products when available, recycling when practical, and using less paper & energy when possible."
Impact Office Interiors is not alone in this mission. The office furniture industry in the United States has voluntarily pledge to move toward producing safer greener products. Whether it is growing their own trees, utilizing more energy efficient production methods, or incorporating recycled content into their products, each has endeavored to do their part.
Many have submitted their products for testing by independent laboratories to obtain a "Green" certification. Examples of these certifications are Green Guard¨ or Scientific Certification Systems (SCS). If you would like to use "Green Certified" product for your office look for logos similar to those below in your marketing materials or simply ask your Impact Office Interiors representative to help.
Next, we recycle most of the packaging materials our furniture is shipped in. By keeping this cardboard out of the landfills, we hope to save trees and impact our planet in a positive way.
Lastly, Impact Office Interiors offers our clients
digital copies of brochures, catalogs, quotes, and drawings either by email or online. By utilizing digital media, we reduce the amount of paper used in our office ultimately saving trees.
These simple and sensible practices, if duplicated by others will ultimately have an Eco-friendly impact on our environment. We are not on this earth alone. Therefore, we must all work together to make a difference.
